RIATMP1030- Photoshop button and banner tutorial

This is a very simple tutorial created for almost everyone with or without any prior knowledge in Photoshop. I have step by step guidelines to do it in 5 minutes. Please click on the image to see large.

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Create a new file of about 860px /185 px (File -> New )

Step 2: Make sure layer window is open and add a new layer by clicking Create a New Layer Icon at bottom right of you layer window. Give this new layer a name ‘Background’.

Step 3: Create about 15px rounded corner rectangle where width is 855px and height is 175px and fill it with color #609590. Your page should like this.

Step 4: Select Layer Style (Icon at bottom left of you layer window) -> Bevel and Emboss and follow settings as shown in image below.

Step 5: Add a new layer and create a selection like cylinder where width is 845px and height is 40px; and 10px from top and from 10px left. Fill with gradient color starting from white (#ffffff) to transparent, and it should create highlight at the top. See the image below and your image should look like this.

Step 6: Add a new layer create selection like cylinder width:830px and height: 40px for your buttons and fill with color #eaeaea; next select ‘Layer Style -> Bevel and Emboss’ and follow settings as shown in image below.

Step 7: Add a new layer and create selection like cylinder width: 810px and height: 25px on the top of just created buttons and fill with gradient color starting from white (#ffffff) to transparent, and it should create highlight at the top. See the image below, and your image should look like this.

Step 8: Type text as desired for your menu structure and separated by thin 1pixel vertical line. You can also put your company logo and text at the top. Once you have all the text your image should look like this.
