RIATMP1039 – Menu Bar / Button – Photoshop Tutorial

Step 1: Create a new file of about 869px /146 px, with White Background (File -> New)

Step 2: Make sure layer window is open and add a new layer by clicking Create a New Layer Icon at bottom right of your layer window. Give this new layer a name ‘button 1′.

Step 3: Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, enter 15 px as radius for the rounded corner and draw your rectangle button shape (1039-A). Right Click on that shape and choose “Make Selection” (1039-B). Now fill that Rounded Rectangle selection with Black (1039-C).

Step 4: In layer palate; right click on the “Button 1” layer and choose Blending Options. First add Gradient Overlay. Follow image (1039-D) for all the values. Next add Bevel and Emboss. Follow image (1039-E) for values. With these layer effects you will get Button like image (1039-F).

Step 5: Create a new layer and give it a name “Other Buttons”. Now just follow “Step 3” and make another Black Rounded Rectangle with radius 15 px. See image (1039-G).

Step 6: Now right click on that layer and choose Blending Options. First add Gradient Overlay. Follow image (1039-H) for all the values. Next add Bevel and Emboss. Follow image (1039-I) for all values. With these layer effects you will get Button like image (1039-J). Make 3 more copies and merge all black buttons in one layer. Finally with text you will get this “Menu Bar” (1039-K). Hope you will like this effect. J Your any comments will be encouraging.
